Chief Operating Officer (COO)

You’ll oversee day-to-day operations, implementing strategic plans, optimizing processes, and ensuring efficiency across various departments. Run events and programs end-to-end— and cultivate a healthy grants/sponsorship pipeline—ensuring programs are funded and delivered flawlessly.

MinDset is the international center for innovation, leadership, and research for Israeli medical students—built by students, for students. Our mission is to equip participants with the skills to drive meaningful changes in healthcare. MinDset also proudly publishes the Journal of Israeli Medical Students (JIMS), showcasing groundbreaking research and promoting academic excellence.

What you’ll do:

• Operational strategy: Turn plans into playbooks; align schedules, budgets, and teams with OKRs and brand standards

• Process optimization: Improve registration, vendor, and production workflows; reduce waste; increase on-time delivery.

• Performance management: Own KPIs for events and programs; track dashboards; run post-mortems and close actions.

• Cross-functional oversight: Orchestrate logistics with CTO (sites/streams), CMO (promo), CPO (materials), and EIC (editorial timelines).

• Fundraising: Build and track a simple grant/sponsor pipeline; draft proposals and benefits; report results and ROI.

• Events: Plan and run hackathons, summits, and seminars; manage vendors, budgets, run-of-show, and safety basics. Conduct brief post-mortems after each event and drive action items to closure.

• Culture & safety: Uphold code of conduct, safeguarding, consent, and incident procedures.

What We’re Looking For:

• Current MD/DMD (or combined) with ≥2 academic years remaining.

• Fluent English; strong organizer with a data-driven, problem-solving mindset.

• Comfortable with budgets, contracts/SOWs, and stakeholder communication.

It will be awesome if you have:

• Sponsorship/grant experience; vendor management.

• Experience with Airtable/HubSpot or similar CRM systems.
